Blood Pressure Monitors

The only validated blood pressure monitor you need is a 3-series Omron monitor. However, if you want to store more measurements or want to use two different settings for you and your spouse, series five, seven, or ten would be useful for you.

Don’t be fooled by fancy wrist cuffs or wireless monitors. As of 2020, research has shown that wrist cuffs are unreliable and there is not enough information available on wireless monitors. Validated arm cuffs are accurate when you get the right size cuff. Before purchasing a home blood pressure cuff, measure your bicep in inches and use that number to identify the correct size cuff. Otherwise, it won’t make sense to monitor your blood pressure with a cuff that is too large or too small.

Essential Vitamins

There are essential vitamins that are recommended by well-known doctors for good health and to “boost” immunity. This is not medical advice and you should consult your health care provider or doctor for advice regarding vitamins.

Some vitamins are contraindicated in certain illnesses or some medications use. For example, people with thyroid issues or euthyroid should not take quercetin because it could cause thyroid dysfunction. Therefore, I will not include it in this list since hypothyroid disease is so prevalent.
