New Version of Omicron

I’m sure you have heard by now that there is a new version of Omicron. The new version of Omicron is called the BA.2 and the original version was the BA.1.

The good news is that BA.2 is no more virulent than BA.1. BA.2 is about 50% more transmissible than BA.1, which means it spreads more easily from person to person.

Otherwise, experts say that BA.2 is really similar to BA.1. Check out the video below to find out more.

Omicron is thought to be a mild form of COVID-19; however, many are still being admitted to the hospital and some are even dying from Omicron. According to some data, it is important to get your booster when it’s time.
