Delta Variant: Sicker, Quicker, and Younger

Delta variant: Sicker, quicker, and younger.
To date, the Delta variant, also known as the Indian variant, is one of the most contagious strands of COVID-19. We saw a preview in India we saw a preview of what could happen around the world. The United Kingdom is experiencing an exponential increase in the Delta variant, and cases are doubling as expected.

The United States, despite the fact that we have vaccines readily available, might be next to experience a significant increase. Yet, Ivermectin has shown to be promising against COVID-19 in India and elsewhere. Ivermectin is an anti-parasitic drug that is repurposed and suggested to be antiviral and anti-inflammatory

Currently, the leaders in the UK have decided to relax their restrictions, which may help with herd immunity. The key issue that some public health leaders and health educators are having with this decision is long COVID-19. Long COVID-19 happens when you are infected with COVID-19 and your signs or symptoms don’t resolve after 12 weeks.

More younger people are experiencing Long COVID-19 and it doesn’t matter if your symptoms are mild, moderate, or severe. More research needs to be done, but now we know anyone who had COVID-19 could get Long COVID-19. Getting vaccinated could reduce your chances of getting COVID-19 dramatically and therefore, reduce your chances of Long COVID-19 21 days after your second shot.
