Blood Pressure Medication Recall: Should Your Stop Taking Lorsartan?

Should you stop Lorsartan due to the FDA recall? Many of you have heard about the blood pressure medication recalls.

Of course, only your health care provider can determine IF IT IS appropriate for you TO STOP YOUR LORSARTAN. However, consider the lot number on your bottle in order to help your health care provider determine if you are at risk. If your lot number does not match the lot number listed by the FDA, IT IS UNLIKELY THAT YOU ARE AT RISK OF BEING EXPOSED TO CARCINOGENS.

If you are concerned about this even though  your lot number is not listed on the FDA LIST, contact your health care provider to get an alternative medication that is not on the FDA recall list.

By all means, do not just stop taking your Lorsartan without replacing the medication with a similar medication THAT CAN LOWER YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE.
