Are You On the Right Blood Pressure Medication?

Are you on the right blood pressure medication? Medication non-adherence, also know as resistant to hypertension treatment, is a common problem for people with hypertension; this is, in part, due to problems with blood pressure medication.

Based on my experience, most people who do not take their medication as prescribed are having some difficulty.

The most obvious difficulty that may cause you to skip your medication is to experience side effects. However, the high costs of blood medication may prevent you from taking your medication as prescribed.

I recommend that you read “Hypertension and You” by Samuel J. Mann because it is a good reference for hypertension drugs. It will help you discuss antihypertensive medications with your health care provider and to assure that you are on the best medication for your hypertension  or resistant hypertension. It also gives you doses, signs, and symptoms of over medication, gender differences, how to prevent side effects and control costs.

Samuel J. Mann has also written a book titled “Healing Hypertension.” He tells you how to get the appropriate diagnoses for hypertension and how to recognize when you have been overly medicated.

In his book,” Healing Hypertension,” Dr. Mann said that “Becoming aware of our hidden emotions and dealing with them can enable both physical and emotional healing.” He gives detailed instructions on what to do if these hidden emotions are influencing your high blood pressure.
