Are you on cholesterol medication called statins for your elevated cholesterol and having pain? Research has shown that statins are effective cholesterol lowering medication. Statins could also cause liver damage. So, it is important to monitor your liver function with a liver function panel if you are on a statin.
So, what should you do? Talk to your health care provider about this and if your provider doesn’t listen, you might need to consider a second opinion.
