However, I was sadden by our recent lost of John Singleton to a massive stroke. He was a great film director and producer who made movies  such as “Boyz n the Hood”. He made this movie when he was around 24 years old, and he was nominated for Best Director by the Academy Awards. We loss another one to stroke. We must take action now to prevent this madness!

The Daily Mail reports that his family said that John “quietly struggled with hypertension” and they encouraged all African American men to get their blood pressure checked for hypertension. Read more about him at the link below.

People are dying due to uncontrolled blood pressure. Let me be clear, blood pressure CAN be controlled in most people. Stroke can be prevented by first controlling blood pressure so that this would not occur.
